Sunscreen film festival short film Q&A.
Sky, a biracial college student, is looking forward to joining the Black Student Union (BSU). However, the first BSU meeting is at the same time as a frat party her friends invited her to. Having yet to embrace her black identity due to adoption, Sky has to decide whether or not to leave her friends and get out of her comfort zone to go to the BSU meeting.
November is National Adoption Awareness Month!!
I decided to take another DNA test, and from it, I've gotten the chance to take a step towards finding my birth father. This is an exciting yet emotional journey for me, and I'm lucky enough to share it with you all.
This Adoption Month, keep in mind that not all adoptees are reunited with their blood and it can have an effect on their mental health. Adoption can also be a touchy subject for adoptees, so make sure to check with the adoptee to make sure they're alright with what you're asking them.
I hope you all are having an amazing week and I will try my best to update you all with another video soon!

Hi Everyone!

I am so excited to share this video with you all!! I met Aleya when I was playing softball for Norwich University and we have been friends ever since! We've bonded over the fact that we were both transracially adopted, and have supported each other through navigating our personal struggles with hair and identity. I hope you can relate to some of the topics we talk about and gain some insight into the adoptee's point of view!

Thank you for watching! I hope enjoyed this video, please don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel so I can keep making more content!

As a transracial adoptee, I felt that it was important to share my experiences to educate the complex subject of adoption.

Join me on my journey of researching transracial adoption through stories of adoptees. This is an ongoing research project that will highlight the lives of transracial adoptees and their unique accounts from child to adulthood.
